Iva Spreitzer, Msc

Iva Spreitzer joins the Department of Pharmaceutical chemistry as a PhD student since October 2018. She is working on the identification of metabolites of novel Modafinil derivatives and is also involved in pharmacokinetic studies.

Iva studied Food engineering at the University of Osijek and obtained her graduate degree in July 2017. In February 2017 she joined the working group of Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Marija Zunabovic-Pichler at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna where she was involved in isolation and identification of Enterobacteriaceae in meat industry with PCR base methods and MALDI-TOF. In May 2018 she joined the working group of Assoz. Prof. Dr. Benedikt Warth at the University of Vienna. She developed a HILIC LC-MS method for the detection of mucosal sugars and was also involved in large scale food survey of Alternaria mycotoxins.
